The Challenge Ahead:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst to join the European Tax Team in Geneva. This is an autonomous role which will offer the right candidate the chance to take ownership of a number of exciting projects reporting to the Director European Tax based in Geneva.
What a Senior Tax Analyst does at EA:
- Provide tax compliance support to the regional controlling teams based in Geneva, Lyon, and Guildford under the initial guidance of senior staff members of the European tax team
- Support the senior members of the European Tax Team in tax audits and related matters.
- Assist the central tax accounting team based in the US with the preparation of quarterly and annual US GAAP & FAS109 tax reporting for selected EMEA group entities
- Ensure compliance of selected EMEA group entities with EA’s transfer pricing policy, which includes but is not limited to reviews of interim and year-end transfer pricing (TP) computations
- Assist the central TP team based in the US with the preparation of TP documentation; this includes responsibility for updates of specific sections of TP reports and the draft and update of intercompany agreements
- Interact with European management, finance, legal and other business partners to provide tax guidance and drive business solutions
- Involvement in ad-hoc tax projects, e.g. M&A transactions, group rationalization
- Keeping abreast of tax legislative developments that impact EA.
- EA’s tax function in Europe and globally manages a high diversity of interesting tax areas and the right candidate will have excellent development opportunities in any area of interest and will be encouraged and supported in this by the fellow team members and the rest of the European finance team which consists of highly talented and engaged colleagues.
The next great EA Senior Tax Analyst also needs:

- Relevant University or Business School Degree at Master Level
- 5+ years in industry and or/a public accounting firm; previous in-house experience is strongly preferred
- Post-graduate tax qualification will be considered an advantage
- High level of experience in international taxation of MNEs
- Familiarity with US GAAP tax accounting concepts
- Strong tax technical and analytical skills
- Tech-savvy mindset paired with a strong drive to identify and implement process efficiencies
- Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
- Great work ethic and integrity
- Innate interest in learning more about tax
- English is a must; knowledge of any other European language will be considered a distinct advantage
- Ability to travel as necessary
