PLAYSTUDIOS is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for the Finance team at our Corporate Headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position will assist the Director of Tax with the global tax reporting processes across the Company and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Work with external accounting firms and various company personnel to ensure accurate and timely completion of all federal, state, local, and international tax filings.
- Gather and analyze accounting data; review and prepare tax work papers including Schedule M support and state apportionment calculations.
- Prepare federal and state income and other local tax returns and estimates.
- Prepare quarterly and annual domestic and foreign tax provisions.
- Research federal and state technical tax issues.
- Analyze and monitor tax legislation and communicate any impact to the Director of Tax.
- Research and resolve federal and state tax correspondence issues.
- Assist in the formulation of tax-related internal controls and policies to comply with requirements and establish best practices.
- Monitor all filing deadlines in the tax compliance calendar.
- Prepare routine and non-routine journal entries, as requested from the Corporate Controller or Director of Tax.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, as requested from the Corporate Controller or Director of Tax.
- Perform ad hoc analysis, projects, and other job-related duties as requested.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of tax compliance experience.
- Strong work paper preparation skills and ability to analyze general ledger accounts to produce timely and accurate records with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with online tax research and tax preparation software
Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Knowledge of ASC 740, and US International Tax Compliance.
- Experience in public accounting, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite and ONESOURCE Tax Provision and Income Tax.
