What we need
2K is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and amiable Sr. Systems Administrator to provide site support for our QA studio in Las Vegas. Applicants will be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, while also having the ability to work without supervision.
What you will do
As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you will be working with outstanding engineering and production operations teams to maintain a stable environment. You'll primarily be charged with the deployment and administration of endpoint systems and tools to support studio operations. You'll work closely with game developers in supporting new services and tackle issues as they arise. This is an opportunity to enhance your career in a critical role supporting what is one of the largest and most successful game franchises. This includes:
- Establish relationships with leaders from all areas of the studio and the wider Global Support Team
- Primary IT support, driving the existing IT staff to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues in a timely manner on PC/macOS workstations as well as infrastructure hardware on an as-needed basis
- Day-to-day administration of Tools, Applications and Windows server environment such as AD, DNS, DHCP, Windows and macOS operating systems, and Enterprise Office 365, etc
- Fix and resolve network connectivity issues, including VPN
- Solid understanding of imaging and deployment tools (SCCM) to ensure workstations and applications are deployed and updated in a standardized manner
- Develop and maintain procedural and user resolution documentation
- Mentor on-site support staff
- Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems understanding global or multi-office network infrastructure
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining system performance, IT system operations, hardware and software upgrade needs, and storage utilization.
- Provides support with escalated help desk requests.
- Understanding of video conferencing equipment and usage

- 5 years work experience in desktop support and/or IT department supporting end users
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, MCSE certification, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of server and PC workstation hardware, software and security essentials
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and communications skills written and verbal
- Experience with complex, multi-functional project work, tracking and maintaining progress with systems such as JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.
- Intermediate experience with PowerShell and Scripting
- Familiarity with current game development consoles, development processes and terminology is a plus
- Works calmly in high stress situations
