Senior Streamer Software Engineer

You will be trusted with a broad range of our technologies, focusing in particular on the Windows application components, performance and functionality.
Our technical product requires a mature and elegant approach that comes with domain expertise in multiple areas, such as good and pragmatic use of C/C++, and a healthy understanding and appreciation for optimisation and performance.
Being interpersonal and a good communicator is naturally expected, but being able to communicate your vision in code makes you exceptional!
In this role you will work as an integral part of our product and engineering teams, reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Core responsibilities:
- Define and design solutions to technical challenges and take ownership to drive implementations to completion, keeping a keen eye on product requirements and being aligned with the needs of the business.
- Implement clean and solid code that delivers performance and stability that can work reliably across a wide range of environments, demonstrating good code hygiene and balance of generalisation to specialisation of implementations.
- Communicate requirements and manage change with stakeholders, both internally from engineering and externally from the product team.
Requirements
- Good experience with Windows Desktop Application development experience, using C/C++.
- Good working knowledge of at least one Windows desktop UI framework and technology, such as WPF, Qt, GDI, SDL2, etc.
- Working experience developing multi-threaded Windows Desktop Applications.
- Working experience profiling and optimising Windows applications.
- Working experience using VisualStudio environment in a team setting, including revision control such as Git.
Experience we’d be impressed with;
- Direct2D, Direct3D, Rust and Vulkan graphics APIs
- Non Windows platforms such as OSX, and Linux.
- Experience with developing applications targeted for running in VMs.
- Writing software installers for Windows.
- Rust.
