The impact you'll make:
As a Senior Software Engineer you’ll be a force multiplier on a team responsible for delivering high quality client-side Android experiences to Supernatural customers. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in architecture, scalability, A/B testing, mobile SDK services integration, pipeline development, and optimization for mobile-specific hardware and low latency.
Along with deep and broad software development expertise, the ideal candidate will bring a passion for mentoring teammates and for reviewing others’ code to help constantly raise the bar.
What you'll do:
- Architect and implement scalable, stable mobile experiences - expanding the scope of the Supernatural ecosystem
- Smart, efficient problem solving for existing product and speculative design plans
- Stay informed on and adapt to a rapidly evolving hardware base
- Deliver stable, high performance code on time and to spec, reviewing and maintaining code quality across the team
- Actively participating in engineering process improvement discussions
- Mentoring team members as appropriate
What you’ll need to be successful:
- CS, Software Engineering or an equivalent degree or equivalent work experience
- High proficiency in Kotlin based Android development
- Three years in advanced Android Java programming
- Use of RxJava, Dagger, and other modern tools to build high performance, scalable products
- Five or more years working in an engineering domain relevant to the listed responsibilities
- A proven track record of working on at least one mobile application end-to-end from concept to publishing on the Google Play app store
- Excellent oral and written communication skills - able to break down technical concepts for non-technical team members
Bonus points for:
- Understanding of both Android and iOS technologies
- Experience with Wear OS or other BLE devices
- Professional Unity development experience
- Good understanding of UX/UI design
- Knowledge of VR or AR development
