Your Mission

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team that specializes in designing, implementing, and maintaining features and services that deal with Protecting the Player. We oversee efforts to combat player toxicity, cheating and fraud, and ensure that privacy regulations are adhered to where applicable.

Our team is largely based in Vancouver with some of us working remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Develop multi-tenant backend online services that are reliable and scale to be used by millions of players all around the world.

• Collaborate with other engineers in the team to design, operate and support features and services with minimal supervision.

• Work with game studio engineers, partnering with them to solve problems related to our domain.

• Provide technical mentorship to other team members through software engineering best practices.

About you:

• Expertise in Python or C++ coding.

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience with networking technologies (e.g. TCP, UDP, security and scalability).

• Experience delivering within Scrum/Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

• Experience with distributed systems and web technologies.

Nice to have:

• Experience with content moderation, fraud detection and/or anti-cheat solutions

• Experience with container and containerized deployment (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with game development
