What You’ll Do:
As a Sr Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, architecture and implementation of mobile games systems. You will actively suggest and implement well- thought-out solutions to better the development process and improve game systems. You will manage your schedule and pace of work in an agile project management environment. In this role, you will get the opportunity to utilise your engineering skills and express your creativity as a game developer. Strong understanding of server engineering, and effective communication skills and teamwork are required. You will:
- Work closely with game designers, artists and other developers to create new features
- Actively suggest and implement better solutions in the development process and in the game systems
- Manage your schedule and pace of work in an agile project management environment
- Utilize your engineering skills to continuously improve the app
About You:
You'll be an experienced developer with a passion for technology and innovation. You’ll be energetic, enthusiastic, well-organised and collaborative in your approach. You’ll have excellent attention to detail, a thorough knowledge of your field and experience partnering with different disciplines. You’ll have:
- Expert level experience in Unity C#
- 3+ years of experience in the game industry
- Great verbal/written communication with designers, artists, and other engineers
- Practical software architecture skill, know how to make developer-friendly code
- Experience collaborating on a team
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket
- Experience with unit tests
- Shipped a mobile app to either google play or iOS app store
- Worked on/created large frameworks and projects
- Strong MVC skills
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum
- Knowledge of implementing abstracted systems using events/messaging
- Performance oriented mindset, know how to get the most performance out of Unity apps
- Ability to quickly complete features using a combination of existing/new tech
- Deep understanding in at least one specific area of game development: audio, animation, graphics, gameplay, etc
