We are making room for a talented Senior Software Engineer with a passion for unlocking development teams to realize our shared vision. This engineer’s primary role will be to work closely with our art and design teams to create, extend and support our UE5 based content creation pipelines. This engineer will be trusted with helping our team to unlock its full potential, creating and optimizing tools and workflows and solving problems across our entire development team. This engineer will have the support of both a lead for technical guidance and a manager to ensure professional growth and well-being. And as a core member of our highly collaborative team, your influence will span as much of our codebase and design as your skills and interests dictate.
Responsibilities:
- Work with technical lead and collaborate with stakeholders across the team to design, implement and maintain the tools and systems that drive development of our game.
- Work with a mix of technical and less technical stakeholders to establish requirements
- Work with leadership and production on accurate scheduling
- Design, author, iterate on and maintain your systems to meet all functional, technical, and schedule requirements
- Support systems with documentation and tooling for debugging, automation and testing
- Work with QA and technical leadership to ensure stability and robustness of your systems
- Help grow your knowledge and skills and that of those around you by interacting regularly with your peers via impromptu conversations, technical discussions and code reviews
- Be supportive of those around you and open to exploring, proposing or adopting new ideas, technologies and practices
Qualifications:
- Eager collaborator and effective communicator with both engineers and content creators
- Proven track record of developing and supporting content creation tools, features and workflows
- Passion for excellence in both your individual contributions and the overall quality of the game
- Appreciation for robust, maintainable, easily readable code
- Familiarity with Artist Modeling and Animation DCC Software
- Experience writing extensible software plugins
- 10+ years of professional C/C++ experience
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with Unreal Engine; Blueprints and UMG experience a plus
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $149,150 - $233,500
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $136,000 - $233,500
• Jersey City, NJ:
º $171,100 - $233,500
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $136,000 - $190,850
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $136,000 - $218,900
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
