The opportunity
Our mission in the Platform Systems quality team is to make Unity the best engine choice for developers on mobile, consoles, and all other platforms. Verifying new features, ensuring our customers can rely on the stability of any platform, and making certain Unity games run fast is what gets us up in the morning!
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Quality to join our skillful team in Vilnius. You’ll be a trusted part of the group, working closely with the Platform Systems development team on significant improvements and cutting edge features specifically for our wide range of platform targets.
Unity is used in a huge and diverse range of games and other verticals such as film or automotive. You will have the opportunity to develop and influence technology used by developers in studios all over the world. With your help, titles built with Unity will continue to be some of the best around.
What you’ll be doing
- Collaborate with the entire team to ensure we are delivering the highest quality software we can, with an emphasis on improved engineering flow
- Provide vast testing or domain expertise to the team by developing and executing test plans, identifying gaps in testing and enabling additional test coverage
- Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates, etc, during test planning meetings
- Drive the development teams towards continuous improvement and higher quality - tackle technical problems and guide the team to solutions
- Mentor QA team members to grow their skill sets and foster a quality-first culture
What we’re looking for
- Experience in writing and maintaining a test strategy for complex product
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organisational skills
- Users-first and empathetic approach to supporting our customers and users
- Experience developing in C#
- Time spent in a lead or mentorship position
You might also have
- Experience using Unity
- Console or mobile platform development experience in games or middleware
- Experience developing in CI and writing test automation
