As a Software Engineer- Multiplayer Gameplay, reporting to the Software Engineer - Systems Lead, you will:
Responsibilities
- build the technology required to support skate's online gameplay features.
- drive the implementation of skate's distributed authority-based multiplayer gameplay, and help the Gameplay team implement features with it
- work with the Systems and Gameplay teams to reduce bandwidth usage without sacrificing visual quality or gameplay fidelity
- develop solutions to track the efficiency of our networking
Qualifications Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. We encourage you to apply if you can meet most of the requirements and are comfortable opening a dialog to be considered.
- 6+ years of professional experience in C++ software development.
- Proficiency in integrating and maintaining large-scale systems covering multiple domains.
- Understanding of networking models employed by games, and their strengths and deficiencies
- Understanding of memory management, multi-threading, and run-time optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
