Senior Software Engineer, Integrations

The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Engineer for Unity Teams Tools and Services to join the version control Integrations Team. You will join a group passionate about creating the next-generation version control and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) solutions for real time 3D.

This means crafting outstanding tools for a wide variety of users involved in creating 3D content that ranges from programmers, artists and producers in games, to film makers, engineers, architects and beyond!

You will contribute to all things version control at Unity, making sure our users get a great consistent experience no matter they are using Plastic SCM, Git and Perforce. You will also create integrations with CI systems (Jenkins, TeamCity and the like), IDEs like Visual Studio, Rider and many more.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high performance integrations with a variety of different products and technologies
• Operate within a distributed team, collaborating with a diverse group of people based in Spain, UK, Canada and USA
• Work very closely with UX designers, product managers and with backend developers to design good APIs
• Partner with other colleagues to build a seamless web experience
• Offer mentorship, code reviews, and clear documentation for fellow engineers

What we’re looking for

• Professional experience working with Java, C#, C++ and some web technologies (ASP.NET, Vue or another major framework)
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full development life cycle
• Experience mentoring junior engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective
• Good communication skills in both Spanish and English

You might also have

• Solid understanding of the Unity game engine or the game industry in general
• Fluent with DevOps and SCM (Git, Plastic SCM, Perforce)
• Experience with any other technologies (MEAN, Golang, Python, Ruby) - we would like great people that have a track record of solving problems in similar domains (AWS, and Azure experience is also welcome)
