Job Description:

The World of Warcraft team is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Engine Team. As a key contributor, you will focus on the vision of improving World of Warcraft’s engine and art tools. Our team is highly collaborative, and you will work directly with artists, designers, and fellow software engineers.

What you will do…

• Design, implement, and maintain development tools for artists, including implementing features in the WoW engine when necessary
• Communicate with other departments within the team to improve existing tools and explore new solutions
• Participate in and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture

To succeed, you must have…

• Experience working with game engines and tools
• Strong C++ programming skills
• Enjoys communication with artists, designers, and non-technical developers
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment and handling multiple projects simultaneously

We’re also interested in hearing about…

• Experience with modern source control system (Subversion, Perforce, etc.)
• Understanding of the rendering pipeline
• Experience with SQL databases -- database design, query design, and C++ or other language bindings.
• Experience developing GUI applications for Windows
• User interface (UI) design experience
• Experience shipping multiple game titles
