Blizzard Entertainment has an opening for a skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Battle.net Ecommerce group!
You will work with an extremely talented Battle.net team known as Business Solutions, which is charged with developing a variety of full stack and back end-systems that power things such viewership rewards on Twitch and YouTube, 3rd party digital stores, and Internet Game Rooms (IGR). Business Solutions is responsible for several systems that sell, promote and distribute game products through indirect channels such as those mentioned.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Ecommerce Business Solutions team you will a join group of engineers dedicated to building a global platform allowing our fans world-wide to experience Blizzard content. In this role you will not only be writing code but taking the reins of projects across all phases of our software development life cycle.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features primarily for our 3rd party digital store support and IGR systems, including integrations with second and third parties
- Collaborate with multiple development teams to account for all of the needs and use cases of these systems
- Be a part of the implementation and maintenance of our infrastructure, as well as the services themselves
- Support and improve live production services by developing things that monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot performance
Requirements
- 7+ years professional back end software engineering experience
- A solid foundation in Java, specifically EE or similar frameworks like Spring
- Strong CS fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Experience with web services, messaging middleware, security, micro-services, and n-tier architectures
- Understanding of scalable and highly concurrent server architecture design and distributed systems
- Familiarity with testing practices, including regression, acceptance, functional, and load testing
- Demonstrable knowledge of data-modeling and RDBMS development practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
Pluses
- Public cloud experience (AWS, GCP specifically)
- Some exposure to front end web programming with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework
- Experience with Docker or other container platforms
- Experience with billing and payment systems
- Linux experience
- Passion for technology and video games
