As a Senior Software Engineer with the Collaboration Team, you will be responsible for designing and building backend services to help teams game creators work together and collaborate creatively. You will be solving problems of scale, architecture, design, and communication to develop tools which allow larger and better collaboration between large teams of developers and artists in the Roblox community. One of the areas will be around our flagship Team Create product which enables creators to collaborate in real-time with friends and co-workers.

You Are:
- An outstanding software engineer with 5+ years shipping high complexity code
- Experienced architecting, designing and leading implementation of a wide array of software products
- Experienced supporting mission-critical applications at scale
- Proficient in C#, Go, C++, Java, Python or similar programming languages
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases at scale
- Experienced with all layers of the stack - you have been an important contributor across the entire technology stack of previous projects
You Will:
- Work on a tool which was used by 1m+ players to learn how to program (and model, create sound effects, learn game design, and explore their vision!
- Take ownership and responsibility for designing, building, testing, and deploying services within the Roblox ecosystem.
- Work on a variety of unique technical challenges within complex systems..
- Be a technical bar-raiser for high code quality, architectural designs, and long-term planning
- Mentor and develop fellow engineers on the team
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$218,540 — $283,780 USD
