As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be driving innovation and defining the advertising industry in the metaverse. Through advertising, you will empower businesses and brands to promote discovery of their experiences, assets, and events inside the Roblox games. You will introduce creative immersive ads experience and boost commercial activities in the virtual world. The team develops high-scalable real time systems to power ads indexing, targeting, ranking, auction, and reporting. We optimize the advertising experiences and make them personalized and relevant to our user base. You will build scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, and deliver the software components with speediness and quality.
You Are:
- Experienced in leading cross functional engineering efforts to scale up backend system to handle large number of concurrent users
- A backend engineer with 5+ years of work experience in building web applications using microservice architecture
- Capable of breaking down product requirements into iterative deliverable stages with track record to show successful execution
- Passionate about working on large-scale, consumer-facing mobile and web applications
- Knowledgeable with REST, API design patterns, and scalable containerized systems and microservices
- Experienced in building scalable advertising product and systems (prefered but not required)

- Be a tech lead for the team and mentor junior engineers
