Senior Software Developer, Server Infrastructure

(This role is fully remote for candidates located in British Columbia.)

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our Games Server team, to increase reliability and build out quality-of-life features for our server infrastructure!
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Design, build, implement and maintain server infrastructure via infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
- Integrate with our build and release pipelines, and improve observability and resilience in our service environments
- Work autonomously, solving technical design and development problems
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience working with IaC tooling in a cloud environment (i.e. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous development environments
- A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience writing production distributed systems or cloud services
- Experience with the .NET platform
- Experience with containerization, orchestration tooling (Docker, Kubernetes in any cloud environment, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with non-relational database/storage technology (i.e. NoSQL, blob storage, etc.)
