Your Mission
This role is a full-time position part of the Activision Blizzard Marketing and Communications team for South Asia and ANZ. Our team's aim is to build meaningful relationships with players across our regions who love our games. In particular this role will be critical in ensuring we are best at meeting players where they are and supporting them throughout their journey with Activision Blizzard with meaningful content and experiences.
The Senior Social and Engagement Manager will lead the strategy development and implementation for Activision Blizzard’s social campaigns across the region. Working closely with the Community, Communications and Brand teams, you will be responsible for developing strategies to drive consumer awareness, engagement and build loyalty with our players base across the region. You are a specialist with a deep understanding of industry trends and emerging behaviours ensuring our campaigns tap into the cultural zeitgeist.
You will play an important role in the South Asia & ANZ Marketing team helping shape the social media marketing approach, define digital initiatives and live service operations to meet the needs and feedback from our players in the region.
COVID-19 Hiring Update: This position can be located either in Singapore or Australia. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, we are unable to assess candidates with current locations outside of the above two regions. Also, per business needs in the future, however, we may require relocation to Australia upon discussion.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and execution of the local player community engagement strategy, within the framework of the regional & global strategy
- Responsible for leading our owned channel strategy design and implementation in collaboration with the community engagement team.
- Supporting achievement of target revenue goals through the execution of campaign initiatives to build player community engagement and awareness
- Strong understanding of player motivations and how they consume content/products to inform marketing and communications strategies
- Develop a strategic framework for the creation and curation of local content to support overall Integrated Campaign executions
- Partner with Global and Local stakeholders in the development of S/Asia + Anz wide channel strategy leveraging local market insights and working alongside community management teams in its implementation
- Working with local franchise managers to manage activation and social budgets for each brand
- Develops and manage a digital landscape review of the region ensuring the continued innovation and dedication to players in our region
- Regularly analysing and reporting on social listening data regarding player community patterns and preferences.
- Ensures engagement principles and journeys are mapped ahead of major campaigns and are informed by social listening data
- Advise about integration and operation of social listening and publishing toolsets across region
Player Profile
- BA degree in marketing or related fields
- 6+ years of experience in digital marketing on client side (digital/marketing/social) or top digital/advertising agencies.
- Deep understanding on social channels across South Asia
- Deep knowledge, experience, and successful track record within the mobile games/apps business ideally across multiple markets within the Asia Pacific region.
- High-level knowledge and understanding of Activision Blizzard franchises value & brand, and expertise of branding strategy
- Strong analytical skills (Data-Driven Marketing capacity required)
- Experience developing insights from social listening.
- Experience with social analytics across channels.
- Experience growing social communities and developing content on social platforms.
- Working knowledge of tools like Sprinklr, Synthesio, Brandwatch, Social Bakers, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Radian 6.
