We are seeking a Senior Social Media Strategist to own the development of social media strategy for our portfolio of casual mobile games and manage its execution with a team of social media pros. . This position will be responsible for building the Big Fish Games social media strategy across all casual titles as our resident expert, lead social media channel management, and coordinate daily execution with Community Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and game teams. This individual will report into the Brand Director, and have dotted line leadership to Community Managers that sit within the Product Marketing discipline. The expectation is this senior strategist will guide the organization in establishing relationships with social listening agencies, vendors and external collaborators, and influencers. This role will represent and contribute to the ongoing development, awareness, and understanding of social media best practices for the organization’s teams and titles.What you'll do
- Own creative ideation, development, and execution of innovative social media campaigns for our audiences.
- Build social network-specific strategies that drive the health, growth, and engagement of our games.
- Efficiently develop topical content to increase brand relevance, foster global social conversation, and build vibrant communities.
- Collaborate with Brand, Product Marketing, UA, Platforms, Creative Services, and other teams to identify efficiencies related to promotions and the creation and use of art and video assets.
- Own tracking of health of all social media channels; test, iterate, and analyze to drive improvements and dashboard monitoring and reporting.
- Coordinate with Product Marketing Managers and business analytics resources to understand and communicate impact of social media on game health.
- Collaborate with game specific community managers to improve their social media literacy and execution.
- Promote and evangelize positive player behavior in the game and on owned social media channels.
- Maintain the always-on content development of the Social Media discipline and resource.
- Strategic planning, collaboration and support for the internal and external social corporate communications team.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of experience with a proven track record of success managing social media strategies, channels, and campaigns for brands and businesses as part of a product or marketing focused team or in-house agency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing and posting content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube
- Advanced knowledge of social media metrics and key performance indicators
- Experience and direct contact with social media measurement and reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading others and managing the workload of team members.
- An involved casual gamer that can identify with a broad audience of players to understand and anticipate their needs.
- Relevant experience in video games, mobile games, or entertainment.
- Creative thinking with a passion for big ideas that push the boundaries.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, readily adapting to changing priorities.
