Senior Server Programmer

WHO YOU ARE

You are a talented, experienced Server Programmer interested in distributed systems programming of continuously-running near-real-time servers. Our Server Programmers tackle networking, computational, and data management problems and we produce generalized solutions appropriate for implementing a breadth of game features. Take part in owning data pipelines, building fault-tolerant services, and producing scalable designs and high quality code that will execute worldwide.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong C/C++ skills
• A passion for high performance, high availability microservice architecture
• Interest and experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, ETL processing
• Understanding and interest in security and scalability issues
• Interest and experience with concurrency and transactions
• Ability to identify long term technical goals and break them down into prioritized, iterative steps
• Excellent communication and team skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Desire to continually improve processes and code quality
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

PLUSES

• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with SQL
• Avid MMO player, especially of Guild Wars 2
• Previous game industry experience
