Senior Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management

Overview

Bethesda Softworks is looking for a world class Senior Security Engineer to join a highly skilled team of professionals responsible for the security of AAA game titles, digital platforms, and data in test/dev and production environments. The ideal candidate has a proven record of developing and implementing security measures that reduce risk within an organization and working across teams to remediate security issues.

Responsibilities

• Work with teams to resolve technical issues that impede the achievement of security goals
• Analyze security vulnerabilities to determine exploitability, severity and impact
• Communicate security issues to various teams and stakeholders at a technical level
• Adhere to high-quality standards and best practices
• Create and document repeatable processes that can be used by security teams to improve productivity
• Identify and respond to emergent and zero-day security issues
• Stay current with development and security trends in the video game industry and in the technology sector

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience working with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• 5+ years' experience working on a vulnerability management team
• 7+ years' experience working on a security team
• Coding experience using scripting languages or similar (Python, Go)
• Ability to understand and communicate how security vulnerabilities can be exploited and how to mitigate them
• Strong engineering skills with attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about security technologies, techniques, and trends
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or similar, or equivalent

Preferred Skills

• Implementing a vulnerability scanning solution
• Reverse-engineering vulnerabilities to understand how they work
• Penetration testing and/or demonstrating how a security vulnerability can be exploited
• Developing scripts that leverage APIs
