Senior SDET - Customer Engineering, Defence

Your mission is provide leadership and guidance to our growing SDET group within the Defence test practice.
You will make an impact by directly contributing to the success of our distributed simulation platforms and help shape our testing function and help to roll out standard practice across our entire organisation. Your goal is to help us build market leading solutions for challenging, yet to be discovered problems.
Your Opportunity
- You will actively champion quality and help your team make quality the responsibility of all
- You will identify opportunities to increase efficiency and quality with new/existing tools
- You will develop code that can easily be used and extended by others, ensuring that it is not over engineered and fits the appropriate design for the language and supporting frameworks
- You will design and build test frameworks to support your project, to aid in engineering velocity and fast feedback
- You will work with your project team, to design, scope and drive automation roadmaps at a high level
- You will pair and help others in building their own understanding in Software Engineering for Automation and or basic scripting & coding
Why You're Made for This
- You have hands on experience in building test frameworks and solving engineering problems
- You are keen to work with the following: RESTful API, gRPC, Protobuf, Websocket, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes
- You are fluent in at least one OO or functional programming language and have the openness to learn and adapt to a variety of languages.
- You have hands on experience with cloud-based software environments
- You have hands on experience with CI/CD release cycles
- You are able to effectively communicate with stakeholders in person, in writing and with visualisation
