Senior Rigging Technical Artist

Are you looking to work with a tight knit team of artists and developers from across the world and have a huge impact on creating AAA games. Counterplay Games is seeking a self driven Senior Rigging Technical Artist to use their rigging prowess and technical know-how to inspire and help push the boundaries of character work on our next gen titles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, create, test, and maintain character rigs/setups
- Experience setting up joint and face rigs
- Effectively communicate feedback and work with teams to create assets that meet rigging requirements
- Work closely with animation and Technical art leads to plan character skeleton and control distribution
- Identify deficiencies in the character production pipeline and own the development of new techniques and processes
- Experience setting up character and animation blueprints in Unreal Engine
- Operation of Counterplay’s proprietary rigging system and DCC tools and technology
- Work with production management to prioritize tasks
- Keep up to date with new technologies in game production
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience and at least one shipped title or equivalent project work
- In-depth knowledge of Maya
- Strong understanding of Body and Facial Anatomy
- Experience rigging complex characters, creatures and vehicles in Maya
- Programming experience with scripting in python, Pymel, PyQt/PySide.
- Experience setting up production workflows based on project needs, while being able to follow guidelines
- Problem solving skills, good collaboration and a keen eye for detail are critical for success in this role
BONUS SKILLS:
- Experience with C++ and C#
- Programming experience with scripting in maya API
- Experience using Physics systems (ncloth, Ziva, etc.)
