Your role: As part of the Technical Art team, you will collaborate with Character Art and Animation disciplines to create exceptional quality characters that will help bring our creative vision to life. You will work with a variety of photo-real humanoids and creatures, developing puppet, deformation and runtime rigs including facial, clothing, fur/hair muscle and skin simulations. You will also work with key external partners to ensure we stay at the cutting edge of game development.
Requirements
Your skill: You will have a strong desire to push what is achievable for real-time characters within the games medium. You'll have the ability to leverage both existing and emerging technologies in the pursuit of this.
You will have:
- Demonstrable ability to author powerful and efficient puppet rigs.
- An in-depth knowledge of anatomy.
- In depth knowledge of Maya.
- Good Python skills, with the ability to write clear, well-structured, and documented code.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and mentor others.
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Your experience: As well as the above skills you will also have:
- Unreal Engine experience.
- 3+ years industry experience Game/Film/TV.
As a bonus you may also have:
- Experience in writing C++ Maya Plug-ins.
- Good understanding of Linear Algebra.
- Performance capture pipelines and assets.
