Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior QC Lead to lead the team responsible for delivering awesome player experience by improving testing processes and quality services. In this role, you will build and support a team of gamers and engineers to ensure high quality standards and keep a strong relation with the development team. Your passion for games and eye for quality will help you lead and challenge a diverse crowd.

Core Responsibilities

Project Management

1. Devise a test plan for the title to achieve the highest quality/smooth execution of the project and continuously follow-up on its evolution.

2. Discuss and present the Test plan to have it reviewed by QCPM / Dev QA Lead

3. Supervise the creation of test cases, along with the testers, to check and report the status on daily basis.

4. Identify the scope of the testing required for a particular feature/module/mode/area of the game based on the available documentation

5. Identify the testing effort required by calculating the team size required to test a particular feature/module/mode/area of the game and plan accordingly the assignation

6. Assign tasks to team with respect to their strengths and provide all the details in the task mail.

7. Opening of bugs entered by the team in JIRA database while ensuring bug standards are maintained.

8. Initiate the Test case design activity, hold review meetings to finalize the Test cases

9. Identify KPIs for the project and work to have them in place as inherent goal for the test teams

10. Identify how the team is aligned towards achieving the roadmap action items identified for the project

11. Monitor the test progress by constantly assessing the work assigned to each of the resources/teams/boards and re-balance or re-allocate them as required

12. Report / Present the test progress in a timely manner to the Stakeholders & Management and instill confidence about the work being done by the team

13. Understanding and defining areas to calculate the overall risk to the project. Devise strategies to mitigate those risks and communicate them to all stakeholders.

14. Identify opportunities for automation implementation to improve testing efficiency

15. Work closely with Unit manager on project resource estimates

16. Continuously analyze the tool improvements/needs for our QC teams on the project and share the same with the Production teams

Team Management

1. Create fun and conducive environment for all the resources in the team to make sure they have maximum throughput

2. Regularly conduct team meetings to make sure the team is aware of the overall progress made on the tests, what other teams are involved into, provide overall visibility

3. Bridge any gaps and differences within/ between test team and management team to form a transparent and cohesive work environment

4. Ensure high level of collaboration between the QC teams, define the best practices to be followed and create information sharing platforms where all involved teams can contribute

5. Identify talents within the team and create roles where their areas of expertise can be better utilized within the teams

6. Use Pulse Survey data to improve Team engagement

Team Development

1. Offer guidance to junior resources as and when required thereby enabling them to grow in the team

2. Identify Skills Gaps and plan for training & workshops on the topics required for the identified team members

3. Work towards retaining skilled resources by instilling leadership in them and empowering them by regularly involving them in challenging tasks/mandates

4. Reward Testers for finding good quality Bugs. Keep some weekly or monthly competitions. Identify and Nominate members for RNR policy on a regular basis.

5. Setting up OKR’s for direct reports, reviewing and providing feedback on the progress made by the team member on a quarterly basis.

6. Conducting Skill assessment exercise along with other team leads / QCPM of the team on regular basis so at to nominate team members eligible for level up's and promotion

7. Creating and driving a long-term plan for training and development for the project

8. Developing SME's and setting up development training with the help of Prod partners

1. Instill a culture of excellence within your team and encourage them to improve on daily basis. Promote your team success internally and promote a pride feeling within the team.

2. Create a culture of continuous improvement

Operational Activity

1. Ensure team is operationally efficient while Working from office as well as home

2. Team Hardware Management: Raising Hardware Delivery request in timely manner, ensuring HW Reimbursements are approved and accurate, Hardware safety within team while WFH and office.

3. Ensure payroll related activities for team are correct and completed within given timelines. This includes HRTB Update, TSM filling, OT entries & internet reimbursement.

4. Other operational responsibilities: Team operations management when employees are returning to office in terms of transport, hardware, seating allocation.

5. Ensuring team has required space in office considering future forecasts.

6. Ensuring Project PM is aware about teams’ operational status.
