SUMMARY OF POSITION
Pixelberry Studios is looking for Senior QA Engineer 1.
Our headquarters are in Mountain View, CA but we can accommodate a remote work environment for a candidate from the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, and Washington.
Currently, all Pixelberry staff work remotely with the option to work in-office, if desired.
MATERIALS REQUESTED
- A current resume and a cover letter, highlighting QA Automation Testing or other relevant work experiences
- At the end of the cover letter, answer the following question:
- What is your favorite video game of all time and why? Be as specific as possible. Responses that are two sentences or less will not be accepted
Candidates without the above materials will not be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be working with the internal and external QA teams to create, execute, and maintain test plans and automation scripts written in JavaScript and Cypress, and perform ad-hoc, creative, and structured testing on web and mobile applications
- Our ideal candidate should possess excellent writing and communication skills, and have knowledge in testing applications on Web, iOS, and Android platforms
- Given our small-studio format, you might find yourself wearing a variety of hats; candidates should be open and eager to learn new skills
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of QA test experience in a work environment
- Strong in English
- Extensive knowledge of python and cypress coding
- Has experience in leading automation efforts
- Familiarity with the mechanics of playing web and mobile games
- Have strong knowledge in using the Jira bug database system and Testrail test case management tool
- Willingness to work under the direction and independently
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively
- Strong communication skills for effectively presenting and conveying issues found with the production team
- Has experience mentoring others in automation scripting and best practices
- Proficient writing skills for writing up test plans and bug reports
- Being able to effectively multitask on a daily basis
- Take ownership of any mishaps from the QA team and have the mindset to correct and prevent reoccurrences of similar mistakes
