Senior QA Analyst

CCP is looking for an experienced Senior QA Analyst to work within our graphics and art teams!

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of graphics technology, computer hardware (CPU/GPU) and software packages such as Wwise, Photoshop, Telemetry and have explored various game editors. They will need to be highly organized and methodical surrounding the planning and testing phases and have a keen eye for detail. Previous exposure to Agile development processes is a plus.

In this role you will be a part of the development cycle for art features and technology from the initial design phase all the way to release. You will also assist with improving team practices for testing and identifying areas where manual test effort can be saved through test automation or tool creation.

• Great at identifying problems, finding and implementing creative solutions, and serving the best experience needed for the project

• Passionate about working on a sandbox MMO with unique challenges, complex dynamics and a player driven ecosystem

Your tasks:

• Plan, execute and champion platform compatibility & performance testing of new engine features and changes
• Organize test plan execution with the whole team and outsourced QA
• Work closely with the engineers on your team to recommend new validation routines or tools that aid in improved test coverage
• Actively participate in team planning and effort prioritization by evaluating risk and providing time estimations on work
• Be effective in driving cross-team collaboration and Whole Team Quality

You have:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a QA role on a live game
• Solid understanding of the art creation process (Modeling, UVing, Texturing, etc.)
• Game engine experience (Unreal, Unity etc.)
• A very good understanding of current and past generation hardware (CPU/GPU)
• Basic programming knowledge (C++/Python) ideal but not essential
• Great passion for games; you not only understand games but love to play them
