What you’ll do

The Fortnite Battle Royale Art team is looking for a full-time Senior QA Analyst. In this role you will own art features in the FX and TechArt disciplines. QA in this space work alongside multiple groups, solving testing challenges and escalating quality concerns related to our cosmetic art pipeline and art features within Battle Royale gameplay. This role also will focus on cross-team collaboration, working with various internal and external testing teams as needed, performance testing on supported platforms, verification testing and validation testing in-game and in the engine.

To be set up for success, a person in this role should have experience with end-to-end feature ownership and risk assessment while being flexible in a fast-paced environment. Moreover, the person should be well-versed in digital art technologies and practices.

In this role, you will

• Work with Art Leads, producers, and QA management to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, and plan testing coverage for upcoming TechArt/FX art features.
• Build test approaches and test plans in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with test teams internally and externally to complete test objectives on art assets.
• Help ensure that our art content is shipped to market within our standards and expectations.
• Plan and conduct defect exploration and verification of TechArt/FX features. Use knowledge of art practices to give feedback, and flag issues with features that may not have been initially considered.
• Analyze and troubleshoot reported defects and internal issues within the product and escalate quality issues.
• Proactively manage incoming defects and work autonomously on highest value tasks, be it test writing or test execution.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ YOE in testing
• 2+ years in Quality Assurance
• Exposure to software development life cycle and how QA fits in that cycle
• Experience with digital art in a testing environment
• Experience with the Unreal Engine or similar rendering technologies
• Experience in functional and usability testing
• Ability to prioritize and work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Ability to thrive while working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
