WHO YOU ARE
You're an experienced Project Manager who enjoys partnering with various teams and stakeholders within the development teams, business teams and external partners. You're capable of understanding both business and technical issues and comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide motivation, and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved
- Gather requirements for new projects from project stakeholders
- Gather estimates from resources and create project initiation documentation (project charter, scope document, requirements document, work breakdown structure)
- Identify, track, manage, and resolve project issues
- Ensure that solutions are of acceptable quality
- Coordinate complex, multi-team, multi-site projects with tight timelines and complex deliverables
- Follow change management process to capture change requests, communicate impact, request stakeholder decisions, and execute changes, if applicable
- Work with other project managers to plan effective resource utilization
- Coordinate, track, and manage the activities of project resources to ensure that project tasks are completed on time, within scope, and at acceptable quality
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years managing IT projects utilizing formal project management techniques and tools
- Understanding of software development processes, software development life cycles, project management methodologies, and performance management
- Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques, particularly how they are used in IT projects & teams
- Demonstrated experience in managing IT project deliverables (such as project charter, project schedules, financials, and status reports), issue and risk management and bringing projects to successful completion within cost and time constraints
- Experience coordinating complex cloud and co-location IT and Infrastructure projects
- Experienced at managing vendors and driving for least cost solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working in ambiguous areas where learning and adaptability are key skills
- Experience managing projects across different technologies, including production support as well as new development
PLUSES:
- Experience in reporting, business intelligence or analytics
- High EQ and experience with the Radical Candor approach a plus
- Experience with the Atlassian tool set (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
