Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Program Manager to help us continue to build anti-fraud and anti-cheat platform features by joining the Battle.net and Online Products – Platform Security team.

Our team provides the services that power a global scale anti-fraud and anti-cheat platform, and protect our accounts, players, and revenue streams from bad actors. This role will work across Activision and Blizzard platform, game, and business teams to identify short and long-term solutions to complex problems that arise when operating the leading premier gaming platform in the world. You'll need to put on your hacker hat to think like the bad actor, work closely with engineers, analysts, and business to identify weaknesses in our systems, and build effective countermeasures into our systems that balance technical, product, and security goals.

We're looking for a highly diligent and data-driven person to dive deep into our existing systems, determine goals, propose solutions, drive alignment on specifications, and ultimately help our teams implement and deliver high-quality products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Team Leads to define and complete a platform vision for anti-fraud and anticheat services.
• Stay on top of Platform/Game Security trends and industry standard methodologies.
• Build functional specifications, user stories, and maintain our roadmap, working daily with platform security scrum teams to translate that into execution. •
• Accurately assess business value and prioritize features and projects accordingly.
• Supported by an operations team, identify novel threats against our systems, identify short term mitigations, and translate this into future platform security program improvements.
• Build partnerships and generate consensus across a cross-functional team to deliver products and features on time and with measurable value. • Initiate and drive complex projects to completion.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with program/product and project management for highly technical products.
• Solid understanding of service-oriented architectures and design especially in communicating elements of a complex system to partners of varying technical expertise.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable giving presentations to large groups and senior management. • Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative; an enthusiastic “can-do” attitude is a must. • Passion for iteration to find the optimal solution, but at the same time understands diminishing returns.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

PLUSES

• Software development background or experience.
• Experience with global-scale systems, including China. • Experience working with PII/personal data.
• Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, or comparable team collaboration applications.
• Scrum Alliance certifications (CSM, CSPO, CSP) or PMI certifications (PMP, ACP)

In your first 1 month:

• Complete Blizzard’s onboarding process
• Learn about Platform Security’s products and goals by reading documentation, interacting with leads, and observing current team processes
• Begin building up a network of contacts throughout Platform Security

In your first 3 months:

• Participate in team planning (at sprint and roadmap levels)
• Expand your network to include teams we partner with regularly, such as Battle.net Platform, Ecommerce, and game teams

In your first 1 year:

• Present Platform Security quarterly reviews and roadmaps to external teams • Support the leads by coordinating and balancing external requests with internal goals and plans
• Use your program management expertise to refine and improve team planning processes
