POSITION OVERVIEW
Working within a newly formed team within SEGA Europe’s Central Marketing department, this role will be at the forefront of exciting new growth areas for the business.
Supporting the Head of Product Marketing – Live Services , this is a unique role where you will both support our full portfolio of franchises to work within new live services-focused business models as well as take ownership of the global marketing campaign for one of our best-loved franchises.
You will use data to drive to deliver successful campaigns and lifecycle management for our live services products, working directly with studio marketing teams to ensure we are maximising the potential of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the relevant KPIs for your campaign and work with the wider business to ensure we continue to be successful in meeting our acquisition, retention and reacquisition goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage acquisition, retention, and growth marketing initiatives for SEGA franchises
- Support the Head of Product Marketing – Live Services in delivering effective marketing campaigns for SEGA’s live service-based titles, specifically focussing on maximising both our monthly active users and lifetime value of our users.
- Plan, deliver and monitor campaigns to guarantee their optimization and profitability, review KPIs throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work with media networks such as Facebook, Google and others to ensure SEGA creates best practice campaigns to acquire, retain, reacquire and increase value of players to our games.
- Work with our internal IT, Digital, CRM and community teams to ensure the user experience of our marketing communication is consistent and optimised across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Help establish live services/growth marketing expertise within a new and growing team
- Work with other product teams to ensure best practice in live services marketing is disseminated across the business.
- Alongside the Head of Product Marketing – Live Services, collaborate with Studio Teams, Business Development and Business Intelligence to build an approach to live services reporting using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI and Google Data Studio.
- Work with our brand and performance marketing agencies to build efficient acquisition and LTV-focused campaigns targeting potential new players as well as our existing player base.
- Analysis/insights formulation
- Alongside the studio teams, analyse game telemetry and marketing data to identify new opportunities for growth within the designated product category
- Identify key trends in audience/player behaviour that provide SEGA and its studios the opportunity to improve our relationship with them through higher levels of engagement, player value and/or acquisition rates
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in working in free-to-access and/or subscription-based live services (Gaming desirable, but not essential) and managing all elements of the customer lifecycle related to them (acquisition/retention/reacquisition/upgrade)
- Familiarity with KPIs associated with managing a live service product (LTV, CPI, ROAS, Churn, ARPU, ARPPU)
- Ability to build and analyse performance data and metrics and proven experience in optimising marketing campaigns based on those results
- Experience in making strategic decisions based on data in a fast-moving sector
- Track record working with development studios to best-in-class products and experiences to players, experience with live services and how it impacts product strategy and player engagement
- Adaptability and able to respond to changes in an ever-evolving industry landscape
