Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the research, strategy and analytics teams to continually assess competitors, demand and product usage. Use quantitative and qualitative data to develop a deep understanding of the customer, their habits, and their needs. Perform competitive research and analysis across the industry.
- Support strategic discussions on the future direction of the product and user experience and identify key opportunities to evolve and innovate our products to be market leaders and bring strong value to our customers
- Create and maintain a roadmap for feature development and product optimization
- Promote product vision and roadmap to the team and stakeholders
- Build epics for projects and break down into features and user stories to ensure that product designers and engineers build features efficiently
- Manage product scope by interacting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all agreed deliverables are prioritized and met
- Organize, prioritize, and track backlog to plan and develop product enhancements
- Serve as the key point of contact while working with the scrum master to provide customer insights, answer questions and resolve issues
- Manage product release related activities including product training, demos and launch
- Own driving the features to completion with quality and timeliness
- Partner with engineering, design, and partner teams to ensure specific deliverables are successfully completed as matching the high-level priorities, system design principles
- Facilitate process, logistics and coordination within a cross-functional team
- Lead team to adopt an efficient process around deliverables, day-to-day task management, and logistic support
- Organize and track development roadmaps (in sync with related development team timelines)
- Problem solve as needed to manage dependencies to ensure on time delivery
- Participate in planning and design sessions and make status transparent to all parties involved
- Proactively identify risks and conflicts and work with management to resolve
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years’ experience working with a development team or research lab in the role of a Product Manager, Product Owner, Technical Product Manager on enterprise tools/platforms
- Experience working on dashboards or other data visualization products
- Experience developing products for schools or using education technology products in a school environment, preferably in PreK-2nd grades
- Highly analytical thinker with high problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to run software development projects and to deliver business results using the Agile framework
- Proven ability to collaborate well across teams and with multiple stakeholders
- Expertise in upward communication to a business audience, including executives and founders
- Demonstrated ability to work in Scrum Teams and maintain the framework on an ongoing basis
- Understanding and actively updating skills and knowledge around Agile concepts/frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe)
- Knowledge of Jira or other Agile tools
- Excellent communication, creative, analytical and organizational skills
- Systematic thinker with the ability to articulate strategies
- Demonstrative proof of an open-minded, progressive thinker who is flexible, energetic and driven with the ability to work well with cross functional items
- Ability to work in a fast paced and with changing priorities
- Strong verbal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on dashboards or other data visualization products
- Experience developing products for schools or using education technology products in a school environment, preferably in PreK-2nd grades
- Some knowledge of UX design principles
- Broad knowledge and experience in the development of enterprise software
- Experience working in a learning-focused team (product development, research, or analytics)
The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $150,000 USD to $180,000 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
