Senior Business Operations Manager, VALORANT, China Publishing

WHO WE ARE: The Business Operations function in China Publishing team partners closely with product and publishing leaders to bring forward analyses, recommendations, solutions, products and strategies that address complex player experience and business issues to achieve the best outcomes for players, such as drive initiatives for CN in-game event planning, channels collaboration, monetization, and around game features. You will get deeply involved in every aspect of our game’s business operations and revenue management, designing and delivering in-game events pipelines that Chinese players love, exploring new monetization strategies that enhance player experience, or exploring new around-game experiences for players to access the contents that they love.
ROLE: As Senior Business Operation Manager - VALORANT in China Publishing team, you will report directly to the VAL CN publishing lead, to drive the thinking behind player journey and experiences. You will also work closely with the global games and publishing team to deliver and execute the in-game events , ecommerce tactics and product strategies. By encouraging teams to collaborate, you'll guide development, smash through obstacles and drive projects across the finish-line and into players’ hands. You'll help conceptualize, influence and execute together with our regional teams and across teams at Riot.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with VAL dev team and global publishing team to develop CN player journey, product roadmap, engagement events, and monetization experiences that meet unique and diverse player needs.
- Partner with VAL dev team and Tencent product team to organize their efforts - accounting for delivery timelines, ensure product quality, revenue impacts, and opportunity costs
- Build, report, and maintain the data pipeline for business health metrics (like revenue and engagement)
- Help create annual engagement and monetization strategy and roadmap
- Explore new around-game product opportunities and monetization strategy for enhanced local experience.

- Analyze player data and product results to find relevant insights
- Establish market sizing and projections of impact for identified opportunities, both on the feature level and the project level
- Communicate strategic recommendations and product outcomes to business leaders and decision makers
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of professional experience in publishing operation, in-game events experience. PC and STG experience preferred.
- Experience with microtransactions and game monetization, either through design or personal experience.
- Experience breaking down complex problems and problem spaces using multiple business or product frameworks and crafting optimal solutions for our players and our business
- Hardcore gamer. Rich experiences in mobile gaming, including League of Legends: Wild Rift and other popular mobile games in China
- Fluent in Chinese and English, and can drive collaboration across language and culture
- Willingness to travel frequently
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in product management, business operation, ecommerce, consulting, or business strategy for consumer-facing products
- Advanced degrees in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, a related discipline, or comparable work experiences
- Experienced stakeholder management and rapport-building skills
- Full-lifecycle project ownership, from ideation to launch
