Senior Product Manager, Unity Gaming Services

The opportunity

Unity powers over half of all games and over two-thirds of the world’s VR and AR products. We put the most powerful creative tools in the hands of millions of developers and artists through our foundational principle of Democratization of Development. Our industrial users are building massive simulations, such as million-square-foot warehouses with dozens of robots and hundreds of sensors. They use these simulations to test software against realistic virtual worlds, to teach and train robot operators, or to try physical integrations ahead of implementing them in the real world. The Unity Gaming Services team is a top-flight group solving core problems for game developers. This role will have a significant impact on the overall platform experience for Unity Gaming Service. This team is an extremely cross-functional group, with services in the multiplayer, analytics, live ops, content delivery and backend spaces.

We are looking for an outstanding Staff Product Manager for the Unity Gaming Services platform. This is an opportunity to work horizontally across the entirety of Unity’s service business. This role will have exposure and influence across the collective customer experience for Unity services and will drive initiatives and strategy that deliver consistency and quality for Unity customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Own the vision, strategy and roadmap for initiatives specific to supporting and improving the Unity Gaming Services platform
• Drive alignment between multiple services teams to deliver on initiatives like UI consistency, documentation, sign-up, pricing, and cross-promotion
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience for Unity Gaming Services
• Define meaningful metrics and success criteria for your team with a focus on customer outcomes

What we’re looking for

• Software product management experience working on an integrated platform or customer experience with an emphasis on strategy
• Strong organizational skills; achievements, dependency mapping, planning rituals, and roadmapping
• Familiarity with services platforms and their common components; login, account management, documentation, billing, pricing, dashboards
• Strong prioritization skills including roadmap ownership, impact-certainty models and stack-ranking
• Ability to work cross-functional on both product features and internal initiatives

• Worked in a product function or role at services business
• Bonus points for direct experience in mobile games or the analytics space
• Extra credit for being a gaming enthusiast
