Senior Product Manager, Data & Analytics

The opportunity

Unity powers over half of all games and over two-thirds of the world’s VR and AR products. We put the most powerful creative tools in the hands of millions of developers and artists through our foundational principle of Democratization of Development. Our industrial users are building massive simulations, such as million-square-foot warehouses with dozens of robots and hundreds of sensors. They use these simulations to test software against realistic virtual worlds, to teach and train robot operators, or to try physical integrations ahead of implementing them in the real world. The Data team is a central, cross-functional group enabling outcomes across Unity’s data landscape. This role will have a direct impact on revenue and customer happiness via effective customer analytics, segmentation dashboards, ETL services, and machine-learning products.

We are looking for an outstanding Senior Product Manager to the Data & Analytics team. This is an opportunity to work with a top-flight data engineering team building modern solutions for data at scale for Unity. You will have broad exposure and influence over product & data strategy within unity monetization and the associated execution.

What you’ll be doing

• Own and maintain the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Data development team and associated strategy for Unity’s services business
• Drive alignment between the Data team’s internal customers, external customers and core development
• Partner with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to deliver a high-quality data product for internal & Unity customers
• Define meaningful metrics and success criteria deliveries with a focus on customer outcomes

What we’re looking for

• Software product management experience working in analytics, data, or data infrastructure
• Understanding of common Big Data services and vendors (Druid, Kafka, BigQuery, GCP, Snowflake)
• Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, and query languages
• Strong prioritization skills including impact-certainty models and stack-ranking
• Basic analytic proficiencies (data cleaning & analysis, dashboarding, SQL, visualization, ID management & reconciliation, etc.)

You might also have

• Worked as a data engineer or analyst
• Bonus points for direct experience in mobile game or live operations
• BI tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
