Senior Product Manager, Core Product

The Core Product Team delivers the products and features that our core users love to use to hangout with their friends online. As part of this, our team builds features that fit into our monetization strategy — especially our paid membership, Nitro — to deliver revenue growth and build a sustainable, ad-free business.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us build. Reporting to the Director of Core Product, you’ll dig deep to understand the problems our users face, creatively define solutions to their problems.

What you'll be doing

• Guide the product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for features and tools that allow Discord’s core users to express themselves, talk, and hangout with their friends.
• Work with product design to produce a massive pipeline of ideas and prototypes that help us expand the possibilities of what Discord and Nitro could be.
• Work with a team of engineers, product marketers, and data scientists to build delightful outstanding products that provide impact to revenue and user growth at scale.
• Communicate your roadmap, priorities, and decisions across a wide spectrum of audiences from partner teams to executive levels.
• Work with other product managers across Gaming, Core Experiences, Nitro, and Revenue to ensure we’re building toward a connected vision.

What you should have

• You can succeed in any environment, are excited implementing solutions to complex problems.
• Experience with building products that people love, shaped by an understanding of your users.
• 6+ years of experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines.
• 6+ years of experience focused on consumer products, either in a PM, data science, design, or engineering role.
• You can summarize data and are comfortable with SQL.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working with engineers.

Bonus Points

• Experience building consumer social/communication products, especially as a founder or early startup employee.
• Opinions about ways that we could improve Discord’s core product and make Nitro more valuable.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000 to $233,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience , and relevant education or training . Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
