The Senior Producer will collaborate across all team disciplines in order to maintain the vision and schedule of the project as defined by the Executive Producer and Creative Director. They will work with and direct all staff and associate level production to make sure the project is delivered on time and at quality. A senior producer will be able to thrive on all levels of projects, raising the bar for either new or established teams to identify or evangelize production processes to steer a project to completion.
The Senior Producer will work directly with the Executive Producer to maintain project roadmaps, time estimates, and tasking of the development team. They will be able to work with discipline leads to provide context and reasoning behind scoping decisions and scheduling. Mentoring the Producers underneath them, they will increase team productivity while providing a solid production structure for the project.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in video game industry with increasing responsibility across multiple projects, including leading the production of one major shipped title.
- Experience working with different project management methodologies including waterfall and agile development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, and project planning software.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to handle high pressure situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with varied staff members and personalities.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
- Skilled in defining and implementing development processes, including refining the process based on project requirements or team changes.
- Skilled at clearly and concisely communicating information across large, distributed teams as well as keeping external groups notified of change.
- Skilled in managing remote teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for driving and maintaining full project roadmaps throughout the life of the project. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect feedback, gather requirements, build out initiatives, break down features, estimate timelines and allocate resources.
- Collaborate with discipline leads to negotiate through questions and provide answers that drive to conclusions to daily and long-term problems. They are expected to identify gaps in development coverage, as well as minor and major risks, and escalate them to team leads and Executive Production to ensure quick solutions.
- Work with Project Directors and with the Executive Producer to ensure deadlines are met and estimates are being provided correctly.
- Maintain the overall production pipeline and processes as defined by the Executive Producer. They will be able to increase productivity and tracking through innovation or improvements over time. When a change to the team's process is identified, they will own the change all the way through and enforce the team follow through.
- Data on team trajectory and velocity will be maintained, noting areas that need refinement based on the skillset of the production team and the demands of the project.
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to our production team, ensuring that we are effectively addressing challenges, identifying opportunities, and continuously improving our processes based on industry best practices.
Lost Boys Interactive has a wide array of project types and structures, which includes internal development and co-development projects.
