The Nitty Gritty:
We are on the lookout for a Senior Producer committed to delivering a quality product to join our Live Operations Development team on a full-time basis. This role will drive production across multiple titles and collaborate on product, project and corporate strategy and initiatives. This position is available in our Toronto or London office.
The Duties
- Responsible for program and operations management of the live operations production teams while ensuring process is followed, identifying areas of improvement, and improving team efficiency.
- Maintain high-level planning documentation, including Backlog and Project Plans, ensuring they have been reviewed by the appropriate parties and prioritized appropriately.
- Lead production for multiple disciplines and feature teams.
- Collaborate with each discipline lead to ensure teams are unblocked and functioning well.
- Identify and communicate project risks to the executives, leads, and QA team.
- Build and track long-range schedules for game features and assets
- Partner with other producers to ensure that goals are clearly defined, blockers are cleared, and the general day to day operation of the team runs smoothly.
- Communicate frequently with the production leadership and team leads on project status, risks, and opportunities
- Develop, maintain and publish project KPIs that track project quality, delivery and predictability.
- Can drive projects to completion in a timely manner, despite no direct authority and multiple departmental dependencies
- Able to communicate effectively with programming, art, design, audio, and QA personnel
- Help the team focus on issues based on a clear understanding of the studio strategies and objectives, and help the team break down complex problems.
- Collaborate with cross functional departments and SLT to improve company values and achieve company goals.
- Manage resourcing, recruitment and budget for products.
- Manage vendor negotiations, contracts and budgets.
- Collaborate with other departments at Big Viking Games and establish a good working relationship
- Collaborate on production and operations strategy with VP of production and SLT.
The Essentials:
- 5+ years of experience in game production, publishing or software application development
- At least two products shipped in a producer or senior producer role
- 4+ years in a team leadership role in development or live ops.
- Experience managing creative teams and delivering products on time
- Able to build, track, and maintain complex schedules
- Comfortable interacting and updating concisely with leads and directors
- Able to facilitate for and communicate with other Big Viking Games departments
- Knowledge of software development process, project management, and production processes
- Manage alignment clearly articulate company vision/goals and product teams.
- Manage rollout of company-wide initiatives
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Drive efficiencies and new ways of thinking with a goal of reducing waste and increasing predictability
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple projects with Agile project management principles and practices
- Experience with project management software: Jira, confluence, Google Suite, Microsoft office
- Free to Play Experience, Facebook or Mobile app experience
