Senior Producer

What We Need:

Our Austin studio is looking for a seasoned Senior Producer to contribute to the next iteration of the award-winning NBA 2K franchise! Within this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a development team in delivering high quality features while also helping to manage the overall project scope, quality, and schedule.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with the production team and the project’s leadership to organize and manage a multidisciplinary game development team
• Define project deliverables and priorities while mitigating risks
• Define the scope of the project, and help keep it in bounds
• Lead an area of development and/or special project through different stages of development – from concept to completion
• Set up and maintain efficient processes and best practices to optimize team engagement, productivity, and communication within and across internal and external groups
• Address difficult team situations (conflicts, communication issues, etc.) and take actions necessary to resolve them
• Define production processes and workflows, always improving the way we build games
• Mentor and train junior production staff, including potential day-to-day management and guidance
• Contribute to a positive studio environment

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:

• 7+ years of experience in the video game industry as a Producer
• 4+ years of experience as a mid or senior-level Producer
• Shipped 1+ AAA title as Producer on a modern console (PS4/XB1/PS5/XBSX/NX), and familiar with requirements from industry first-parties
• Helped lead at least 1 game through all cycles of development (preproduction, production, shipping, and live support)
• Expert knowledge of industry-standard project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.) and the value and place of each
• Experience leading an internal, multidisciplinary development team or an area of development that interacts with multiple disciplines
• Experience with steering ambiguous ideas into actionable items
• Experience identifying and navigating through project risk, whether game-related or business (operations/publishing/legal/etc.)
• Experience with being responsible for schedules, budget, and scoping
• Significant knowledge of game development pipelines and content creation workflows
• A JIRA and Confluence power-user, having created workflows, reports, and templates
• Strong analytical, technical, and project management skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, combining leadership and diplomacy -- teamwork-oriented

Pluses:

• Shipped one or more installments of an annual sports title
• Experience working on current-gen/next-gen consoles
• Experience with Games as a Service or online multiplayer modes
• Scrum Master or PMO certified
• Familiar with basketball, the NBA, and/or the NBA 2K franchise
