Our team provides products and services that are foundational for building games across mobile and emerging platforms. These services span across Game Engine, Identity, User Acquisition, Social, Payments, Analytics, AI/ML, Core Technology, and Cloud. Our mission is a ‘Lean Mean Tech Organization’ that enables game teams to develop and launch amazing games. We are a 120+ people organization servicing 1500 others across 13 global locations.
Zynga is looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to manage multiple programs and projects in our Central Technology team. This position will be based in our Zynga Austin studio.
He or she will work closely with engineering leadership, product management, other project managers and game/partner teams to balance a set of commitments and milestones to predictable execution, facilitating tough tradeoffs along the way. Tactical enough to dive deep on daily execution, proactively spot areas for improvement, then energetically drive those improvements broadly, resulting in all peers feeling collaboratively led into changes that solve confusion, miscommunication and differing expectations.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level project /program management for multiple critical engineering projects, including but not limited to our Game Team Engagement Program
- Ability to drive product development and ensure deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
- Anticipates challenges and course-corrects as needed on the fly.
- Partners closely with engineering leaders, product managers and other producers to deliver outstanding products and services.
- Ensure clear project definition and criteria for completion.
- Lead technical scrums and agile project implementation.
- Initiate, foster, maintain and manage others toward positive working relationships with internal and external organizations critical to both current and future development process.
- Passionately articulate goals and team principles to help form a stimulating and fun work environment and culture.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of program/project management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Senior Project/Program Management role in the tech industry.
- 3+ years agile development experience.
- Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder engagement & project management skills and ability to present work to executive staff
- Ability to work in a team environment with maturity and leadership.
- Must be a self-starter and driven team player
- Proven ability to resolve conflict and strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate across diverse cultures, languages, work styles, and personalities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the game industry.
- Computer science or technical degree.
- Agile certifications.
