Become a Senior Privacy Engineer at Roblox Corporation and help craft our platform's privacy landscape. You'll work with an outstanding team to ensure detailed data privacy for millions of users and create safer shared experiences.
You will:
- Develop and implement privacy policies, data handling guidelines, and protocols.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and data protection audits.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to determine privacy requirements and integrate prevention-focused privacy solutions.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure strict compliance.
- Educate and train staff on standard methodologies for privacy.
- Respond to privacy issues and incidents, including root cause analysis and managing remediation.
You have:
- Proven experience in privacy engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc…).
- Proficiency in privacy principles (e.g.: data minimization, identity profiling, etc…) and privacy-enhancing technologies (e.g.: differential privacy, k-anonymity, etc…).
- Familiarity with SQL queries, scripting languages (e.g.: python), and system design & architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related discipline.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$201,120 — $261,160 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
