Senior/ Principal Pipeline Technical Artist - Unannounced Warcraft Mobile Project

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Pipeline Technical Artist to join a new mobile project. This technical artist will be working closely with Artists, Engineers, and other Technical Artists to both find day-to-day improvements and achieve long term goals. We're looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, a phenomenal team-player attitude, and willing to dive deep into anything necessary.

COVID-19 Hiring Update: We've transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

DAY TO DAY TASKS:

• Design, build, implement, and improve production tools and workflows for all the different art disciplines
• Collaborate and communicate across departments
• Evaluate Artists' needs, and identify issues, to understand and support them

YOUR BACKGROUND:

• Experience in the gaming industry as a tools and pipeline technical artist.
• Knowledge of some content creation apps: Maya, Houdini, ZBrush, Substance, or Photoshop.
• Experience working in Unity
• Experience with material and shader development (HLSL)
• Experience with Python and creating workflows and tools using Qt
• Experience in C# within Unity’s framework to create tools to improve asset pipeline and automation
• Some experience in game development crafting art tools for departments outside of rigging
• Some skill level of at least one set of Technical Art roles and responsibilities outside of rigging
• Experience with building & supporting character animation & VFX tooling
