Senior Pipeline Technical Artist, Environment - Unreal Engine

Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the research and development and implementation of new environment workflows in Unreal, working closely with all stakeholders.
- Streamline existing workflows and collaborate with other team members to develop, and document requirements and standards for environment work flows.
- Collaborate with users of the environment pipeline through mentoring and documentation to ensure they can achieve their vision, while meeting performance goals and technical requirements.
- Work with the Engineering Team to redefine what is possible in an environment pipeline, to empower it’s users to rapidly create, and iterate on environment content.
- Develop powerful procedural environment tooling that allows people to rapidly populate content, while also allowing for layering custom edits on top of these systems.
- Empower smaller teams to efficiently create environments that don’t feel like they were made by a small team.
- Define and enforce standards and best practices for environment workflows.
Requirements:
- Experience shipping projects and developing tools and pipelines for modern real time applications in Unreal Engine.
- Expert Knowledge of Blueprint and or Houdini for generating tools.
- A passion for promoting a positive team culture that champions new ideas, empowers coworkers to achieve their vision, while growing and maintaining a positive collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines.
- Creative problem solving skills.
- Must be familiar with one or more types of 3D creation software.
- Knowledge of Python or equivalent scripting languages.
Pluses:
- Strong Knowledge of Houdini for procedural art generation.
- Previous experience working with VR.
- Experience with Machine Learning, and AI.
- Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.
- C++ Experience (Particularly in Unreal).
- Strong foundation in 3d math.
- Object Oriented coding/scripting experience.
- Strong Knowledge of the Unreal material system.
