Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake® and one of the leading independent game studios in the world is looking for a Senior Pipeline Engineer that is enthusiastic about digital art production pipelines and Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) to create high quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games.
Our Pipeline team is tasked with bringing our 3D content creation pipelines into the future, using OpenUSD. As a studio, we are at the forefront of using this technology to build AAA games. In the Senior Pipeline Engineer position, you will be offered a role with a focus on software engineering and the opportunity to conduct R&D on new art production workflows and their infrastructure.

What you get to do
- In this role you will design and develop the core architecture for brand new, industry leading art production pipelines using OpenUSD
- Create new in-house plugins for OpenUSD and contribute to our Open Source releases
- Collaborate with our proprietary engine and tools teams to build deep integrations between the Northlight engine, tools and DCCs
- Mentor and train your colleagues in OpenUSD
- Contribute and R&D into our long term data migration to OpenUSD
- Work together with the Technical Art disciplines such as Character Technology and VFX to help create a singular ecosystem of libraries, code, best practices and workflows
What you bring to the role
- You have solid work experience from the game or film industry
- You have experience in OpenUSD or other 3D scene composition technologies
- You have strong skills in Python and/or C++
- You are used to working with Autodesk Maya or SideFx Houdini and their SDKs
- Experience with C#, Rust, PowerShell, custom game engines, TDD, and CI/CD are seen as a plus
- You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas, and learning from others. You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments, and you are excellent in communication and able to present your ideas in a clear and coherent way. As a team member, you are dedicated to contributing towards a friendly and inclusive work environment
- You can also work independently, being organized and able to document your work
