What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a Sr. Pipeline Developer to join our Art Pipeline team. The Art Pipeline team develops efficient content creation tools and workflows for Epic artists around the world. The team supports a wide array of content creation packages and services with a focus on solutions that allow artists to focus on creating art.
In this role, you will
- Identify artist workflow bottlenecks and then engineer and prioritize appropriate solutions given relevant production constraints
- Deliver robust tools and services that improve throughput and allow artists to focus on art
- Collaborate with other pipeline developers, producers, leads, and directors to maintain, support, and extend the production pipeline
- Communicate designs, timelines, and progress to project stakeholders on a regular cadence
What we're looking for
- 5+ years experience as a pipeline developer, or similar, working on production in games, feature animation, vfx, or related industry
- Demonstrated proficiency integrating custom tools into 3rd Party software with python and Qt
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with a strong foundation in software design patterns and object-oriented programming
- Demonstrated experience and strong interest in developing tools for modeling and surfacing artists is preferred
- Candidates with experience developing and supporting pipelines around the Adobe Substance suite of tools are highly encouraged to apply
- Bonus for candidates with experience in one or more of these areas: PBR models and workflows, GLSL/HLSL programming, C++, Unreal Engine
