Senior People Partner (France)
We’re doubling down on our investment into the PX team in 2023 to supercharge BARB’s growth. Reporting into the HR Director, this role will strengthen our PX Partnering team to steer BARB as we finish our title game.
This role will add People Partnering best practice to BARB and is critical to us developing a high performance culture effectively. Previous experience of enabling people leaders quickly through org transformation will be key to success in this role. We have grown to 300 people already but plan to grow past 450 in the next year.
We compare PX Partnering to our Community team - driving the performance and happiness of the people they work with. There's no one size fits all for a role in our team, but a willingness to unlearn traditional HR is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Steering Build a Rocket Boy as we head toward game launch, translating company strategy into a pragmatic People Plan that will enable high performance and org effectiveness.
- Becoming the trusted partner to your people leaders. You'll push boundaries in their thinking, and advise on the best people strategy to unlock performance in their teams.
- Driving workforce planning, identifying gaps, issues and areas for improvement within the org design - leading restructuring where needed.
- Managing Talent Partners in your areas, co-devising talent strategies, headcount planning and successful onboardings.
- Galvanising our manager population, coaching and developing them so they can learn and grow collectively as they lead multi-geo teams.
- Using commercial + people data insights (engagement, performance) to identify problems in your areas before they emerge. Then implementing people solutions and measuring their impact.
- Caring passionately, and advocating for diversity, equity, inclusion + belonging, intentionally building this into the people lifecycle.
- Enabling cross-functional collaboration across the business, leveraging personality profiling to unlock improved ways of working in teams.
Requirements:
- You have significant experience as a People Partner, directly supporting C-level leaders in a scale up environment.
- You have proven experience implementing company wide People initiatives that transform an org.
- You pride yourself on your ability to build strong relationships - quickly. You're excited to show our leaders what they're missing
- You're a natural influencer and instil trust with everyone you interact with. You can take people through journeys of change with relative ease.
- You thrive in the grey, you’re known for asking the tough questions and asking ‘why’. Your negotiating skills have yet to find their limit.
- You’ve managed Talent Partners +/ People Assistants before and understand how they can be best leveraged to form a cohesive PX unit for your client areas.
- Your default is to use data to equip leaders with the insights they need to make decisions and plans, driving commercial solutions that have impact.
- You have a sound working knowledge of UK employment law, and can adapt to pick up new countries too (ideally France & Hungary.)
Bonus:
- You have experience with European works councils e.g. French CSE.
- You have previous exposure to the gaming industry.
- You’re sensei level in most of our tech stack e.g. BambooHR, Greenhouse.
- You have knowledge of Agile practices and how they can be leveraged in the People space.
