The opportunity

You will be part of the APAC Payroll team that supports payroll for more than 700 employees across 6 countries. This busy and exciting role will be reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, with your business partners including Human Resource, Treasury and Stock Admin. You will also get phenomenal experience and plenty of opportunities to learn with our upcoming Global payroll system implementation project.
What you’ll be doing
- Liaise with third party payroll agents to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Responsible for preparing payroll fluctuation analysis, accounting entries and support payroll cashflow forecast. Take ownership of tracking and reconciling Employee Share Purchase Plan contributions
- Track and update taxable benefits for payroll tax as well as prepare annual tax return of ESOP/ESOW plans
- Reconcile pension & social insurance payments and work with payroll agents and tax authorities to resolve pension and tax issues, response to employees’ enquiries
- Work closely with Human Resource to improve data accuracy and controls. Prepare payroll process documentation for Sarbanes Oxley compliance and assist with statutory and Sarbanes Oxley audit on payroll.

- Proven track record processing payroll for New Zealand and Australia
- A keen eye for detail with a strong orientation to accuracy
- A natural when it comes to analytics
- Thrives working in a team environment with strong collaboration skills
- Always looking for ways to continuously improve processes and is passionate about innovation.
You might also have
- Completed a degree in Finance or Accounting
- Have gained system implementation experience or knowledge of Workday HRIS
- Have experience in and enjoy fast-paced environments
