Payroll Accountant

Hi-Rez Studios is looking for a qualified Payroll Accountant to join our studio in Alpharetta, Georgia on our Accounting team!

What our Payroll Accountant will do:

• Payroll processing and benefits administration, including related benefit/payroll reconciliations.
• Provide support on processes and procedures such as salary reviews, benefits enrollment, payroll, and staffing changes. This includes 4 US and 1 UK payroll.
• Multi state setup and compliance.
• Monthly preparation of the Voluntary Benefits Self Bill.
• Annual reporting – W-2, 401K true up, fringe benefits, etc.
• Regularly work with sensitive and confidential information, navigate complex and difficult employee relations conversations with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Audit all employee status changes and ensure accuracy for payroll and benefits.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of all the perks and benefits the company offers.
• Run reports and utilize data from HRIS to assist with ACA compliance requirements.
• Assist with HR special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
• Document Dayforce processes.

Who we are looking for:

• 5 + years of payroll experience, including hands on payroll processing and benefits administration for hourly and salaried employees and multi state compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree required, accounting or finance preferred.
• Certified Payroll Professional designation and/or Ceridian Dayforce HR/Payroll Software experience a plus.
• Computer proficiency with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google applications.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity – can navigate through a complex, multi-faceted organization.
• Analytical aptitude and ability to identify data needs, conduct necessary analysis of various data points with the ultimate outcome of providing meaningful insights to support business decisions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems.
