Your Mission

As Senior Operations Accountant you will provide accounting support for the EU operations team to ensure inventory & cost of goods are accounted and reported correctly in a major entity within the Activision Blizzard group, Activsion Blizzard B.V

In your role as BPO for EU regional inventory you will be responsible for driving process improvements and efficency gains.

You will be the expert and go to person for understanding all inventory accounting flows and processes. Working with local tax teams to ensure the flows are VAT compliant.

You will operate all processes in a SOX compliant manner and build efficient controls into project deliverables and, maintain and upate control documentation.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• You will be solely responsible for coordinating the inventory close process across all the EU territories, working closely with supply chain, transactional services and accounting teams
• Partnering with the NL & Corporate supply chain teams to ensure sku's are setup correctly for debundling, average costing and allocations e.g. freight and the monitoring associated with this
• Providing input to the preparation of the Quarterly Balance Sheet Review presentation and other close packages. Ensures timeframes are adhered to, slides are accurate, understood and explained
• You will be responsible for reporting for inventory including quarterly disclosure checklists, SOX compliance and schedules for Corporate
• Calculating and posting the Obsolescence reserve
• Assess and prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations and submit to Blackline in accordance with the monthly close cycle and Account Reconciliation Policy. Ensures balances are current and when required, investigate and resolves aged items on account
• Participates in external and external audits, provides supporting documentation and walkthroughs processes within area of responsibility
• Participating in and contributing to teamwork and meetings, assigned project and process improvement initiatives
• Supports Manager International Accounting with ad-hoc requests and the team by backing-up tasks during absences.

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA/Accounting Degree level Education or equivalent relevant to the experience required for the role.
• Clear self-motivation with a history of exceeding high performance standards
• Ability to build productive relationships by using your excellent written and verbal English skills along with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Demonstrable experience in self-prioritizing of work and appropriately responses to urgent matters.
• A willingness to travel should it be required in role.
• Dutch language skills would be an advantage.
• You will be a confident, proactive and approachable personality who can work autonomously when required all with a great sense of humour.
• Proficient with Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase, OBIEE/Answers strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Finally a passion for gaming and entertainment is an absolute must.
