Your impact
Build network Infrastructure that supports players from around the world!
You will be part of building a great gaming experience, growing and improving our global data center network and its engineering principles.
You will advocate for healthy operational practices. You will drive incidents investigation, troubleshooting efforts and proactively act on identified setup weakness, towards improving resiliency and availability of our gaming services.

What you’ll do
Be a key player in data center architecting and network engineering projects spanning across a multi-site global network.
Enjoy engineering freedom, exploring new technologies, while committing to fit-for-purpose designs and showing a solid sense of ownership.
You will be focusing on network technologies spanning across routing & switching, data center networking, cloud networking, load balancing solutions and automation solutions.
You will identify operational problems and support the automation efforts, when it comes to network devices deployment, configuration and standard practices (ex: zero touch provisioning, base config generation, software upgrades, failover and traffic shifting procedures).
Care about the health state of our network devices, leveraging telemetry capabilities and gathering traffic flow data. Push forward improvements of our monitoring and observability solutions.

Your technical expertise
- Deep understanding and experience with routing protocols (such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network protocols (such as IPv4, IPv6, NAT, Multicast, Spanning Tree, flow export applications)
- Knowledge of routing and switching hardware platforms architecture, forwarding and data planes
- Experience with load balancing hardware and software solutions (such as A10, F5, HAproxy)
- Experience with data center technologies: spine and leaf architectures, VxLAN EVPN, vPC/MLAG
- Experience with monitoring and alerting systems, NMS systems, DDoS mitigation services
- Comfortable with automation frameworks, ideally Ansible using playbooks, or Salt or Nornir
- Familiarity with data-serialization language (YAML, json), template engine (jinja2) and version control (git)
- Experience deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining network hardware and software, for one or more vendors: Juniper, Cisco, Arista, etc. / NX-OS, IOS-XR, IOS-XE, JUNOS, EOS, etc.

- You are passionate about online gaming and/or Blizzard games, and care about understanding the bigger picture of the gaming systems infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP and IPv6
- Experience with open-source tools facilitating the management of network infrastructure services
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems and/or virtualization technologies and/or Linux containers
- Deployment knowledge or experience managing security products (such as SRX, Palo Alto)
- Knowledge or experience of writing or using advanced scripts in any programming language
