Job Description
Mission
Key tasks related to the mission include:
- Install and maintain various network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers;
- Deploy and maintain private network links and dedicated peering;
- Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards;
- Participate to the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics as directed;
- Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services;
- Enforce network security policies and procedures;
- Perform proactive network capacity management activities;
- Maintain documentation regarding network hardware and software;
- Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards;
- Answer user’s query and service requests;
Tasks
- Act as a mentor and point of reference within the team, particularly with new administrators;
- Contrubute to the planning of the evolution and expansion of the network & systems;
- Optimize network performance;
- Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
Education
- A baccalaureate Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related equivalent experience.
Relevant experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in IT, ideally within an environment consisting of 500+ servers.
Required Skills
- Expert level in routing technologies such BGP and OSPF;
- Expert level in developing techniques and methodologies to resolve unprecedented problems or situations
- Excellent Linux environment knowledge;
- Good understanding of other infrastructure concepts like Storage Virtualization and Cloud computing

- Ability to make complex information accessible and understandable.
- Ability to handle an environment constantly in flux with changing priorities.
- Honesty, integrity and confidentiality must be maintained at all times.
